Uploading Videos
How do I upload videos?
Once you have finished editing your video, make sure your video is under 15 minutes in length, smaller than 120MB and in an acceptable format.
1. Click on "Upload" button in at the top right (under the search box).
2. Write as much information as possible, including title, description, tags and categories. The more information you provide, the easier it will be for other users to find your video.
3. Choose the video file you want to upload.
4. Decide if your video is Public or Private.
5. If you consider that the video has got any feature that is not suitable for children under 18 years old and that is suitable for our content policy, activate the option "18+" and people that are registered under this category will be the only ones that will be able to watch this video. Due to security reasons, this option cannot be modified once you have uploaded the video.
Click on the "Upload" button.
Uploading a video in Creatiu can take a minute or an hour, depending on the size of the video, connection speed and your geographic location.
If you receive any error during the upload process, make sure that you are uploading a video in a size suitable for CREATIU.
What kind of formats does CREATIU support?
CREATIU accepts a wide range of video formats such as MOV, AVI, MPG and WMV.
If you don't think your current video file format is recognized by CREATIU, you may get the best results from converting your file to MPEG4 video with MP3 audio.
Which is the best format to upload it with a high quality?
Usually we recommend the following settings:
- Quicktime/MOV
- MP3 Audio.
- 24 frames per second.
- Compressor H.264
- The size of the video does not matter, if necessary will be resized automatically.
How do I know if my video is infringing someone else's copyright?
The most usual reason why we do not accept some videos is the infringement of copyright and because the authors of the video have told us that someone is using their contents without any permission. Once we have been told about it, we will take the usual legal measures as soon as possible.
Some examples of copyrighted content are:
- TV shows
- Music videos
- Live concerts
- Movies
- Commercials
- Videos with copyrighted pictures
Remember that a video although it is edited if it uses copyrighted elements for its composition the infringement is the same, the length of the video has nothing to do with it.
To avoid this kind of trouble the best solution is that any user creates all the content of the video by him or herself.
