Offf Paris: 2010 Titles
Project overview by The Mill:
Mill NY’s Design Department Debuts with Exquisite Piece for OFFF Festival.
This mesmerizing opening title sequence marks the debut creation of our integrated design and animation team. Commissioned by OFFF, International Festival for the Post-Digital Creation Culture, you’ll observe 45 names come up throughout the piece to credit the prestigious speaker lineup at this year’s Festival in Paris.
Under the creative vision of Jeff Stevens, Rob Petrie and Kim Dulaney, a team of our designers, animators and compositors have collaborated to take the viewer on a journey through a world of enigmatic creatures and a trance-like soundscape.
“This is a painting, an enigmatic daydream,” says Jeff Stevens, The Mill NY’s Design Director. “The viewer is given an opportunity to enjoy a seemingly life-like environment where textural formations build scenes of surreal beauty and strength.”
Now in their tenth year, OFFF curators have established themselves as tastemakers in the international design and digital communities. They are a self-described “enthusiastic celebration of new visual culture… a synonym for modernity, both aesthetic and technological.” We’re honored to have been selected to paint the palette for this year’s event.
